Elder Kestner and I in Wagoner

It's been a good week! It's been quite the adjustment to train but I'm loving it. I'm learning lots. We've been seeing tons of miracles! The area is doing well. We have lots of new investigators and Elder Kestner and I are having fun.

I'm grateful for everybody's love for me. It keeps me going. I'm grateful for a Savior. I'm grateful for the fact I'm not alone. I'm grateful that I'm trusted. I'm grateful for a testimony in a loving Heavenly Father who loves me so much to shape me into who He needs me to be.

In the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9:    “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”

From the hymn True to the Faith:
"To God's command, soul heart and hand, faithful and true [I] will ever stand"

no matter what.

Humidity is real!

My week was good, it is starting to heat up here. That humidity is real. It's gross. But still working.

I'm having fun. Just trying to not focus on myself and be more selfless. Just trust that I'm making a difference somehow in the work that I do and as I am obedient. That trust will come into huge play next transfer. I'm training and I’m district leader and a bit nervous.  I'm trying to learn how to trust God's plans and be confident in what I do as I go on, rather than trying to do things on my own.

Happy Mother’s Day!

I'm doing good. I feel like I'm working hard and I'm confident that things will work out. Just keep moving forward and rely on Christ!

Love ya!

Storms & Fishing

I've been well! I'm a little tired recently, but it's been fun!
We had a cool family fun day thing at the main park and tons of people were there. We got a lot of good contact there with our booth we ran with members.
We also have a couple of new investigators this week. We've been teaching this 19 year old named Kaitlyn and she's pretty solid. She's crazy though. Like been through a  ton in her life. But she's been keeping commitments, we plan on having her at church this next week.
We did a church swap yesterday. We went to living waters non denominational. It was interesting hearing their take on stuff. The preacher talked about Christ and his healing power, and I felt the Spirit a couple of times. But there were some things that were misconstrued that the Book of Mormon so helpfully clears up. We started talking about Adam and Eve and how they're bad. I wanted to tell them to check out Alma 2.
Last week we just got some crazy thunderstorms that were awesome, but nothing even happened even close to us. We slept at a members home (our storm shelter) and that was fun too. So no tornadoes, sorry Ryan.

Last week on P-day (preparation day) we went fishing and it was fun. We went with the Elders in Pryor. We caught like 14 small fish, nothing to keep but it was good.
I am having fun out here. It's hard, but it's good.
Love,
Elder Wold

Tornadoes & storms & zone conference

From Sis. Mansell’s Oklahoma City mission Facebook page today:
“We’ve had a wild night of storms and a few tornados touch down 🌪 in Oklahoma. Missionaries were sent to storm shelters as a precaution. I think we have some exciting stories but no direct tornado sightings!”
Thankfully everyone is safe.

Here’s some pictures from zone conference this last week:
