Back at OU!!!

Hey so the highlight of this week was being able to go back to OU!

It was super special for me because I got to see a lot of fruits of things I did there. We saw a lot of success there, but I also saw days where I felt like I wasn't doing much, as we all do. But as the day went on, we ran into and taught some people who remembered Elder Tait and I and we made a difference for them. 2 people we taught for the first time, Elder Tait and I contacted them and sparked interest in them, even though they weren't willing to meet up then. Now the Lord has placed missionaries there who have connected well with them and they are wanting to learn what we're about! Super cool!

Because of that, I have a pretty strong testimony that no effort is wasted and that this is the Lord’s plan. That even when I feel like I messed up talking to someone and botched helping them hear the truth (which is impossible I know, but you still feel like that at times) they come around because of something you said or did. You leave and impact somehow.

I love this work! Happier than I ever have been right here!

Wichita Falls, Texas

What a cool week! Goood to talk to my mama and fam!!!!

We had zone conference and the trainings there were awesome! I think the highlight of this week was going on exchanges with one of my best friends in the mission, Elder Holt, down in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The experiences were cool we had together. We taught 3 people a solid lesson, set some baptism dates and then we went and gave a blessing to an old man who was dying in the hospital and oh what a spiritual experience that was. The veil was so thin, it was cool.

We also found a lady who we tracted into who had been super involved in the church back in Houston and almost got baptized and served a mission but things happened. So the Elders will go back and teach her, hopefuilly she will come to church too!

It was cool week and I love being here! Never want this to end!

Love ya

Ridonckulously cold!

This week was super cold but super fun! Lot's of work with people in different areas and seeing cool miracles even though it's been ridonckulously cold!

We had exchanges with different people around the mission, we got to go up to Tulsa and I got to be with Elder Vogt again, that was super fun! We rocked the campus up there! It was super cool to be with him and see how much he's changed and how much I've changed. Especially because when we were together, we didn't have a clue of what we were doing!

We’ve been working on our training of the history of the Bible too for zone conference this week! It’s been fun, but also way exhausting. I would definitely invite you to look into some of that history, here's what I've learned thus far in a brief sentence or two.
The Bible is the word of God, it's just way incomplete!!! People are funny out here when they're like, yeah it's complete and you can't add or take away from it! I'm just like, well what about the 15 books the Bible says are supposed to be in it (lost books, under bible dictionary, check that out it’s cool) and what about the mention of doctrines that are just thrown out with no other explanation, like baptisms for the dead in 1 Corinthians 15? And then they're like, so you don't believe the Bible is true. And then it's like no we do it's just incomplete and translated weird and they're like no you don't. And then I love this analogy. It's like taking the Civil War out of a history book. The history book still is true, it's just missing a key thing and doesn't contain the fullness of our U.S. history. I love this if you can't tell, it's waaay fun!!

Guess where we've been for about 20 hours this week with callings and reports and preparing trainings?... the office!!! Haha I'm not complaining, it's important stuff and I'm really happy to be doing it and to be serving. It really helps out president and it's good information that will help to inspire great revelation!

This transfer I'm working on feeding off of helping others lifting and strengthening them and seeing how I've helped them become who they are! President invited me to do so because he said he feeds off of that and that's what keeps him going, seeing how he's helped people come closer to the Savior and then become better because it helps. He said it helps with comparison and selfishness. It's been cool so far!

I really have changed a lot, lot's of growth and maturity, more reverance for the things that are sacred. More love for the gosepl, more understanding of who I am and what I'm supposed to be doing!

The legendary companionship of Elder Vogt and Elder Wold were back together last Friday for a day! (They were companions from August until December 2018)

Busy week!

So this week was cool too and was an interesting one! It started out first with Monday pday with all the missionaries! We had fun with them all and then got to go work for a bit on our campus at UCO! It was awesome and we met some cool people that day!!

Tuesday we got to pick up the new missionaries! That was fun but also crazy! There were 23 arriving! But we had a good time with them all! It was just weird doing the same things we did with them when I was a greenie! I did a  lot of reflecting this week, on who I was and what I've become and it's cool to see what's happened!

Wednesday was transfers, so we trained the trainers and the greenies  and then they found out who was with who! Elder Martineau is training and has a stud as his companion! It's been fun serving around Elder Martineau, he’s a stud. I look up to him a lot! Then the chaos of transfers happened and it was a blast! There are a lot of missionaries moving around this transfer so a LOT of people were there!

Wednesday night we took home the departing missionaries. It was fun being with all the sisters who came out with me and meeting some I never served around the whole year and a half they were here. Elder Gallup was the only elder and it was fun being with him! Sister Hancock was in that group too and she is from Gilbert.

Thursday we were way tired and had all day to work after we dropped off the missionaries at the airport in the morning. SO it was a harder day at UCO. Not to mention people just not wanting to talk to us. It was pretty hard for me, I was beat and mad that we couldn't find any solid people. But Elder Scott and I made some goals and went out and did the best we could. We ended up reaching our goal of finding 4 people and they were all solid and down to hear our message! I'm excited to sit down with them! I know God sustains us in hard times and that all things are possible if we just believe. It was definitely a hard one and a grit time, but we got some success out of it.

Friday we got to go to Elder Kestner's district council. It was fun because last time I was in a district council
with him, I was his district leader and trainer! And now he was my district leader for a day!!! SO cool!

We also went on exchanges with the other UCO Elders and we found some super solid people! I was with Elder Badger and he's awesome!!!
Other than that, we've been prepping for trainings this week! It's fun!

Love y'all
